To allow PDFHttpStream to connect to non-HTTPS URLs, you must disable App Transport Security (ATS) restrictions in your app's info.plist.

  1. Open your project's info.plist file in Xcode.
  2. Add a new key named App Transport Security Settings.
  3. Add a child key named Allow Arbitrary Loads.
  4. Set the value of Allow Arbitrary Loads to YES.

Caveat: Disabling ATS globally is not recommended for production apps if you can use HTTPS. If possible, use HTTPS URLs for your PDFs to avoid modifying your ATS configuration.
